Document Description
The Project consists of delivering water from Lake Nacimiento via the Nacimiento pipeline to the Salinas River bed just upstream of the City's Well Field. It will only be implemented when there is no water in the channel. Work will consist of unrolling and installing by hand a lay-flat fire hose along the bank of the Salinas River to an approximately 10-foot-wide by 20-foot-long inflatable pool in the thalweg of the dry channel. The pool will function to slow water velocity delivered from the hose and minized erosion within the channel.
