Document Description
Remove vegetation in the Gilroy Hot Springs area of Henry W. Coe State Park to reduce the threat of wildfire and restore the Historic setting. Work will create 30' of defensible space by manually removing excessive surface fuels, ladder fuels and live shrubs, removing small diameter trees up to 8" in diameter breast height, pruning and thinning trees, removing one failing oak tree, removing stumps, mowing ground cover to 4" or less, and removing organic soil from bases of structures. Vegetation will be chipped on site and/or haulded off site.
