Document Description
The Perittee proposes to mow and spray Arundo donax in two county owned parcels in the lower Ventura River area. The removal of the invasive plant is for restoration and to discourage homeless encampment in the river. Initial mowing will take 5 working days, with follow-up herbicide retreatments, quarterly for 5 years. Two crawlers with steel or rubber tracks, mounted with a fixed-tooth grinding head to mulch in place will be used. Manual removal with hand tools will be used in areas with mostly nativee herbicide during retreatment. The Permittee is not proposing to revegetate and is relaying on natural recruitment.
