Document Description
Successful operation of rotary screw traps (RSTs) is dependent upon stable anchoring. Deploying a RST in the south channel of the lower American River downstream from the Watt Avenue bridge will require the installation of two new 4 X 4 X 4 feet concrete anchors. Installation will require the use of a front-end loader or excavator. The loader or excavator will create a hole 8 feet long by 2 to 5 feet deep and to install the anchor would enter the river via the Watt Avenue boat ramp. The boat ramp provides immediate access to the river.
