Document Description
Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency (AVEK) will transfer up to 35,000 acre-feet of its 2012 State Water Project Table A Water Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) on behalf of WDS California II who farms in both Districts. The Transfer will be completed in 2012. This proposed transfer is designed to enable both KCWA's and AVEK's water users to better manage their respective water supplies. No lands will be fallowed as a result of the transfer and no addditional groundwater will be pumped. The lands have been actively farmed in the past.
