Document Description
The Fall River Resource Conservation District is requesting $75,000 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Proposition 84 Healthy Forests Grant Program to develop a grazing and forest management and monitoring plan, and complete environmental documentation and permitting to restore 2000 acres of mesdow and thin 1000 acres of dense forest in the Burney Gardens area. The project area includes four separate land owners who currently lease different grazing permits. Project activities will include developing design approaches for stream restoration on one section of Burney Creek in the project area that is severly entrenched.
