Mannually remove and chemically treat 140 non-native trees within the upland portion of Pomponio State Beach over three year to manage the resources. As recommended by Pest Control Advisor, Chris Weske, on March 31, 2012, work will cut trees down with a handsaw or chainsaw, cut and level the stump to the ground and apply a 50% roundup concentration solution (with or without dye) to the cambium ring of the tree to remove cut stumps or drill with a hand or electrical drill holes at the base o the standing, live tree at 45 degree angle at approximately every 2 inches around the circumference of the tree and at approximately 3 inches deep and apply a 50% roundup concentration solution into the holes to remove the tree in place. These recommendations represent the safest and most efficient methods for the effective control of eucalyptus.l
