Document Description
Improve the antiquated failing wastewater collection system in the North Grove Campground at Calaveras Big Trees State Park to comply with current Regional Water Quality Control Board discharge standards. Within 20' of existing manholes, work will pull pliable tubes composed of thermosetting resin through damaged sections of pipe, inflate the tube with air, then steam to cure the resin to form a tight-fitting, jointless, corrosion-resistant replacement pipe with trenchless technology to reline the sewer collection pipes and the inside of the sewer manholes.

Project consists of the maintenance, repair and minor alterations of existing public facilities invovling negligible expansion of use beyond current levels; replacement of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity and the construction and location of limited numbers of new small facilities or structures and installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structure, included as "utility repairs or minor upgrades" and "septic tank replacement" in the Department of Parks and Recreations list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR 15300.4.
