Project involves construction of a total of 2.4 miles of 4 inch-steel pipe barrier fence along both sides of Proctor Valley Road in the vicinity of Rancho Jamul Ecological Reserve, with posts set in concrete and 4 steel gates installed at access points, in order to protect sensitive habitat from unauthorized vehicle use. Rock boulders will also be placed at strategic locations along the fense line to prevent access around ends of fenced segments.
