Document Description
The USACE will jet-grout the levee in order to create a cutoff wall in the existing levee system. L9 extends for 177 feet and is approximately 100 feet downstream of the water treatment plant and L9A extends 154 feet and is located at the water treatement plant. Mulitiple columns will be excavated in the levee to a depth of between 50 and and 70 feet and filled with grout to form a cutoff wall. The project will be constructed between August and November 2013 for a period of four months. All construction activities will take place within daylight hours.
