PLU: Ag nut production and hulling/harvesting Z: A-2-40 GPD: Agriculture
Document Description
Request to construct a new walnut huller/dryer building, warehouse and storage building, and shop in three phases on an 18.78 acre site. This is a current nut ranch facility/operation where the owner will hull/dry nuts harvested locally. The owner's current huller/dryer on Covert Road will not meet upcoming USDA requirements due to its age and, therefore, needs to be updated, but the current huller site is too small to meet new standards. Proposed hours of operation are seven days a week, from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, during the walnut harvest season (approximately 40 days) from September through November.
