Document Description
The existing 10.5-million gallon (MG) reservoir roof system and appurtenances will be demolished and disposed offsite. The existing concrete lining will be crushed on-site and re-used onsite. A 3.5-MG replacement tank including a buried valve pit structure and pipeline modifications will be installed within the existing basin. The tank will be situated towards the eastern portion of the site in order to avoid the Hayward Fault Zone. Contouring and landscaping features will be installed to reduce the visual impact of the exposed existing basin as well as the new tank.
