Document Description
The proposed project would demolish a vacant 60-unit motel (the former Tropicana Lodge) and a Western Appliance retail store on a 2.43-acre site, and would remove parking lots, driveways, utilities, landscaping, and 13 Heritage Trees. Following demolition and site clearing, the project proposes to construct 169 new apartment units in two four-story buildings over a one-level underground parking garage. The project would include approximately 106 one-bedroom and 63 two-bedroom market-rate apartments, a leasing office, common areas and courtyards, landscaping, and new utility infrastructure. The project also proposes a rezoning of the site to a Planned Community (P) zoning district.
