Document Description
The purpose of the project is to replace the functionally obsolete South Fork Cottonwood Creek Bridge (08C-0008). The project is needed to address the bridge’s structural deficiencies that include seismic instability, insufficient width, capacity, and inadequate curves near the bridge while minimizing the impacts on the floodplain, local property owners, and wetland areas. Road and intersection improvements are needed to meet current geometric standards and accommodate future traffic demands.
