Document Description
The CA Dept. of Transportation proposes to install a new connector track between the BNSF railway track & UPRR tracks in north Richmond to facilitate movement of trains between the two tracks and to reduce trains in downtown Richmond. The installation of the connection track, upgrade of existing siding, and project related improvements will begin ~365 feet south of the Giant Road/John Ave. Crossing and will extend southwest, ~1.25 miles, north of the UPRR/Parr Blvd. intersection in the City of Richmond and unincorporated portion of Contra Costa County. The CA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2013-0067-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, CA Dept. of Transportation District 4.
