Caltrans in cooperation with the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) proposes to provide a high occupancy vehicle (HOV)/express lane in the northbound direction on I-680 from SR 237 to SR 84, within Santa Clara and Alameda Counties in and near the cities Milpitas, Fremont, Pleasanton, and the community of Sunol. The project would construct approximately 15 miles of HOV/express lane along the I-680 corridor through widening.
