Document Description
This project is for a reclamation plan for an existing vested non-conforming construction aggregate mine. Earthwork will consist of an additional 1.8 million cubic yards of aggregate over 18 years on approximately 14 acres of land. The maximum vertical relief of the mine will be approximately 250 feet from the top of the highest slope to the bottom of the mine pit. Reclamation of the site will first consist of backfilling the mining pit by importation of approximately 607,700 cubic yards of clean soil materials, and grading to achieve final landforms which include undeveloped flat pad areas and final stabilized slopes with maximum gradients ranging from 2:1 to 1:1 in grade. Re-vegetation (and monitoring) will be performed on areas disturbed by mining.
