This project would amend the text and maps regulating land use in the 1993 Goleta Community Plan (GCP), the County Comprehensive Plan, and Local Coastal Program, including new and revised narrative, goals, policies, development standards and actions that regulate and guide future land use exclusively in the Eastern Goleta Valley. The project includes: adding a new Eastern Goleta Valley Plan area to the GCP; Urban/Rural boundary line changes; Land Use and Development Code amendments, including a new mixed use zone district for an extent of the Hollister Avenue and State Street Commercial Corridor; Coastal Zoning Ordinance amendments, studying eight housing opportunity sites for rezoning at densities up to 20 units an acre, complete streets transportation system improvements, coastal access, and parks and trails planning.
