The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) proposes to maximize the use of recycled water to replace portable sources for irrigation and Industrial uses by extending the recycled water pipeline network to Elysian park and downtown Los Angeles. The project would be implemented in two phases. Phase l involves installation of a new 16-inch recycled water pipeline from Taylor Yard to Elysian Park, including installation of a new recycled water storage tank, recycled water pumping station, and potable water storage tank. Phase ll involves the installation of approximately 10 miles of new 16-inch recycled water pipeline from near the Los Angeles State Historic Park (Cornfields Park) to Chinatown, downtown Los Angeles, Exposition Park, and Boyle Heights.
