The Boards of Trustees of the Wasco Union High School District and the Wasco Union Elementary School District of Kern County, CA, desire to unify the Wasco Union High School District and the Wasco Union Elementary School District, excluding from the unification three feeder school districts that are totally within the territory of the Wasco High School District. The excluded elementary districts are the Lost Hills, Maple and Semitropic School Districts. This is known as a Thompson style organization. All the qualified electors residing within the borders of the now existing Wasco Union High School District will be entitled to vote regarding whether to unify the Wasco Union High School District and the Wasco Union Elementary School District as early as March 5, 2013.
