Document Description
The project consists of trimming vegetation within the gas line right-of-way at two watercourse crossings. The vegetation trimming work is required to support mandated annual gas pipeline leak surveys. To facilitate such surveys, the vegetation will be manually cut using hand crews equipped with chainsaws. All vehicles will use and remain on existing roads only. If access allows, the cut vegetation will be hand carried out of the stream zone and fed through a chipper with the chips broadcast on site. If access is limited, vegetation will be cut into 6-24 inch lengths and scattered within the right-of-way, outside of the stream zone. All vegetation within 5 feet of the gas line will be removed. Trees with a DBH of 12 inches or greater growing within 10 feet of the gas line will also be removed.
