Document Description
Removal of hazard rock below Pinecrest National Recreation Trail and above Pinecrest Lake. Three (3) blocks of rock will be drilled with 1 1/2-inch diameter bore holes from top to approximately 8 feet deep using hand drills with crews on safety lines attached to anchor points drilled on dwonhill side of Pinecrest National Recreation Trail. Three 1 1/4 by 8-inch Dyno AP Plus packaged emulsion explosive charges will be inserted into each drilled bore hole, detonated following Blasting Safety Plan prepared by Neil's Controlled Blasting, LP, and will be fully consumed during detonation. Blast will be designed to break and detach rock masses at existing fracture and detachment planes.
