Document Description
California law requires that pre-1914 water right holders file a Water Diversion and Use Statement to report the amount of water diverted from the streams listed in the water right permit. To facilitate this, Field Department staff plan to install weirs and flow monitoring equipment at three canal locations in the Applegate and Meadow Vista areas. THis work will include the installation of a weir within the existing canal and a small, approximately 18" by 18", metal box to enclose flow monitoring equipment. A small solar panel will be attached to a pole adjacent to the flow monitoring equipment box. A canal outage will be scheduled for each of the installations and all work is planned for periods of dry weather.
