Document Description
Repair and replace the Rotchev House roof within Fort Ross State Historic Park to protect the integrity of the historic structure. Work will remove the existing roof boards; install 2" x 4" blocking between rafters to create a 24" grid to install 5/8" exterior plywood, waterproof membrane, 1/4 gypsum roof board, #30 roofing, and ventilation underlayment. Additions work will install a ridge vent the length of the ridge and the existing softit will be modified at the point it meets the roof to provide additional ventilation.
