Document Description
The North Fork Long Canyon Diversion facility diverts stream flow from Long Canyon Creek into the Middle Fork Tunnel which conveys water from Hell Hole Reservoir to the Middle Fork Powerhouse. Storms have blocked the intake with sediment and debris potentially resulting in loss of inflow to the reservoirs. Sediment entering the intake can cause damage to the hydroelectric turbines. Maintenance of the facility is proposed that includes removal of approximately 40 cubic yards of fine sediments and organic debris that have accumulated in the impoundment immediately above the North Fork Long Canyon Creek Diversion Dam.
