Document Description
The project proponent requests approval from the city of Pittsburg ("city") of a lease and sign code exception to construct a two-sided, LED, changeable copy billboard on undeveloped city-owned property south of and adjacent to SR 4, west of Railroad Avenue. Each of the two LED panels would measure 14 feet tall by 48 feet long and would be configured in a V-shape atop a 34.5 foot tall, four-foot diameter monopole, such that the sign and its support structure would have an overall height of 48.5 feet above grade and be visible to both eastbound and westbound traffic on SR 4. Display on the sign would change every eight seconds, and the sign would be used for general commercial advertising purposes, with limited time allotted for nonprofit and city event promotion. Caltrans permit approval also required.
