Document Description
PCWA owns and operates the Middle Fork American River Hydroelectric Project (Project). The Project uses the waters of the Middle Fork American River watershed to generate electricity through hydropower operations. The Project consists of five powerhouses, two major storage reservoirs, and five smaller regulating reservoirs and diversion pools. The Project seasonally stores and releases water to meet consumptive demands in western Placer County and to generate power. The Project has a total dependable generation capacity of 223. 7 megawatts (MW), and an average annual energy production of 1,039 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
