The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number PLA-46859-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Placer County Water Agency. The project involves modifying existing diversion dams to allow for the release of new minimum instream flow and pulse flow requirements under the License Order issued for Placer County Water Agency’s Middle Fork American River Project (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission [FERC] Project No. 2079). Diversion improvements include the construction of headponds, instream weir gates, plunge pools, Coanda intake screens, sediment maintenance gates, and associated box culverts to connect to existing diversion pipes/drop inlet shafts.
