- Document Description
- The project would include a new solid waste receiving and transfer facility, anaerobic digester (AD) facility, on-site electrical generation facility, utilities connections, compressed natural gas (CNG) production facility, fueling station, and a Land Application Area for the AD solid residues (digestate). This project would be a municipal solid waste (MSW) materials recovery facility (MRF) (up to 500 tons per day) and AD facility. The MRF would consist of mechanical and manual processes to separate out marketable recyclable materials from the MSW waste stream. The products of the AD process are biogas, digestate, and liquid effluent. Biogas would be used onsite as a fuel for power generation, or further processed and converted to CNG. The project was submitted to the SCH in 2012 for Pre-Application Review/Early Consultation.
