Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number No. SUT-27272-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Meridian Farms Water Company. The proposed amendment consists of three changes: 1) Construction of a concrete slab-on-grade access deck instead of a pile supported steel deck for the retractable fish screens. The current steel pile structure does not provide adequate access to maintain drum screens; 2) Installation of a 230 linear-foot river debris defector upstream of the fish screen to protect the retractable fish screen track assembly instead of a debris pile configuration; and 3) The option to seal and abandon the existing Meridian Diversion discharge pipe through the levee in-place instead of excavating and removing the pipes.
