Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board), as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The San Benito County Water District (SBCWD) proposed project included construction of a new water treatment plant, a raw water pump station, raw water and treated water transmission lines, and a paved access road. The new water treatment plant will be comprised of treatment facilities, solids handling facilities (including drying beds), treated water storage tanks, an administration and operations building and associated facilities. Modifications were made to the previously approved project to further improve water quality in the area, including construction of a water transmission pipeline to convey treated surface water to City Groundwater Well No. 4, and upgrades to the existing City Groundwater Well No. 4 to improve control and increase energy efficiency of the existing well pump. The project will provide for the operation of these facilities.
