Document Description
The proposed project is the replacement of an existing bridge (Bridge No. 43C-02) over the San Benito River with a new bridge which would accommodate two traffic lanes with pedestrian and bicycle lane facilities. Union Road would be realigned to remove a substandard curve and the intersection of San Benito Street and Union Road would relocated with a 350-foot extension of San Benito Street to the realigned portion of Union Road. The intersection of Cienega Road and Union Road would be reconstructed with a slight adjustment to orient the intersection with the realigned Union Road. Existing and previous bridge structures would be removed from the channel following completion of the new bridge, and riparian vegetation would be restored.
