The applicant is requesting an Oak Tree Permit to approve the trimming of 53 oak trees, removal of four oak trees, due to poor condition, major twig die-back, and poor structures with extreme leans over walkway areas; and retroactively approve the trimming of four oak trees. All of the trees are identified as Coast Live Oak, in an oak tree report dated February 19, 2010 and prepared by Lisa Smith, Registered Consulting / Certified Arborist. The previously trimmed trees were trimmed to provide clearance over the clubhouse and pool area of the existing Palatine Hills Condominium Development. Based on the oak tree report, 57 trees require trimming and four additional trees should be removed.
