Document Description
Construction of a 1.4 mile pedestrian trail from Toro Park to Marks Ranch. The trail parallels hillside contours through relatively undisturbed oak woodland, native grassland, and with a minimum 30 foot setback from an ephemeral stream with riparian vegetation, eventually bordering a wetland meadow area until reaching an existing ranch access road that leads to a historically-designated structure. From the trailhead in Toro Park to the ranch road at Marks Ranch, the Buckeye Trail shall meet ADA standards. Habitats shall be highlighted along the trail with nature-interpretive signs at 4 locations, ADA-compliant picnic tables at 3 locations, and 5-pull-outs along the existing ranch road. Grading is estimated and a cut/fill balance of 350 cubic yards. Tree removal limited to 3 oak trees less than 6 inches in diameter at 2 feet above ground.
