Document Description
The Madison Street Improvement Project from Avenue 50 to Avenue 52 (hereinafter the Project) entails the improvement of approximately 6,000 linear feet (LF) of Madison Street from approximately 300 feet south of Avenue 52 to approximately 800 feet north of Avenue 50, and also includes improvements to approximately 480 feet of Avenue 52 west of Madison Street and approximately 500 feet of Avenue 52 east of Madison Street, and approximately 600 feet of Avenue 50 west of Madison Street and approximately 550 feet of Avenue 50 east of Madison Street. Within the Project Boundary, the existing centerline of Madison Street forms the jurisdictional boundary between the cities of Indio (to the east) and La Quinta (to the west). Madison Street, within the Project Boundary, is an undivided, two-lane roadway lacking curbs and proper drainage. The existing pavement is deteriorated and in need of rehabilitation.
