Document Description
The project includes the removal of dumped debris from the main channel of San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve, within the central basin of the lagoon. Recently discovered debris consists of old car chases, tires, engine blocks, hot water heaters, and other large mechanical objects deposited into the lagoon 40+ years ago before it was designated an Ecological Reserve. The project would remove the debris through the deployment of a small barge with a winch into the main lagoon channel.
