Document Description
This Project includes a small native habitat enhancement on approximately 4-acres adjacent to the San Joaquin RIver. The Permittee will plant native grasses, tree and shrub groupings on 1 acre of the left bank of the San Joaquin River and along a 3 acre agricultural drain feeding into the San Joaquin River. The Project includes disking the soil with a cultipacker for two (2) passes in September 2012. Native grasses will then be direct or broadcast seeded both in the riparian area and along the historically farmed portion of the agricultural drain between October and November 2012. Grass seed will be planted at a rate of 6 to 7 pounds per acre. Shrubs, trees, an willow cuttings will be planted in January 2013. No irrigation system will be installed, and no trees will be removed.
