The Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District has approved on July 24, 2012 the acquisition of a conservation easement to allow it to remove trash, improve both spawning habitat and streamside vegetation for listed fish and amplibian species, which include but are not limited to, the Santa Ana Sucker, and the Arroyo Chub which have been known to occupy this tributary during certain times of the year, but have been extirpated from most of the lower drainage due to fish passage issues and variable flows.
