Document Description
Sierra Streams Institute Project is proposing to resotre critiaal spawning habitat for species of anadromous fish including Chinook salmon, through a combination of spawning bed enhanement and strategic boulder placement and removal. The proposed project will take palce over two years, with spawning bed enhancement activities occurring once each year. The need for replenishment is due to the decline of salmond stocks due in part to loss of spawning habitat caused by curtailment of natural gravel recruitment from obstruction of upstream dams.
