Document Description
A shaded fuel break will be constructed 200 feet wide and 3400 feet in length along a strategic ridgeline located in Sections 23 and 24, T41N, R5W, MDBM. The area of the project is located within a residential WUI area of the Hammond Ranch area, near Weed, CA. The project is a collaborative effort between the Greater Weed Fire Safe Council, Northern California Resource Center, and CAL FIRE with funding provided by the U.S. Forest Service through the California State Fire Safe Council. The fuel break will be construcuted with the use of a masticator and CAL FIRE hand crews where the masticator can not operate efficiently.
