Document Description
AB 531 and AB 1103, codified at Public Resources Code, section 25402.10, require the Energy Commission to regulate the benchmarking of nonresidential buildings and the disclosure of the resulting data to prospective buyers, lessees, and lenders. The regulations set a schedule for compliance, and make specific the requirements of the statute for owners to benchmark their building's energy use within the U.S. EPS's Energy Star Portifolio Manager program and make the disclosures.
