Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under Chapter 6.8, Division 20, sections 25323.1 and 25356.1 of the Health and Safety Code (H&SC) is considering approval of a Removal Action Workplan (RAW) for the UPRR Liden Site (Site) submitted on June 22, 2012, by Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA) on behalf of Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) for the former Battery Sales and Processing Company, Inc. (BASAPCO) lease site. The RAW was developed to address soil impacted with Lead.The proposed action is excavation of removal of lead on 27 South Linden Ave (East Parcel) to reduce the threat of human health and the environment and to provide a permanent solution that reduces the toxicity, mobility and volume of contaminated media.
