A failing retaining wall underneath the building along San Anselmo Creek will be replaced with a new shortcrete wall supported on helical piers and tiebacks. A bioengineered bank that is not underneath the cantilevered building will be stabilized with turf reinforced matting and live willow stakes. The work will occur behind and underneath the commercial shopping center at 731 to 711 Center Boulevard in Fairfax, CA 94930. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2011-0121-R3 pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Jeff Koblick, Fairfax Center Properties, LLC.
