Document Description
Note: Reference SCH #2006022091 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Central Valley Flood Protection Board have prepared a Supplemental EIS/EIR that proposes design refinements to the Final EIS/EIR prepared in 2007 for the Folsom Dam Safety and Flood Damage Reduction Joint Federal Project (JFP). This document evaluates the potential environmental impacts from recent design refinements for: 1) the construction and excavation of the 1,100 foot approach channel upstream of the auxiliary spillway and gated control structure, 2) the potential stockpiling and disposal of excavated material at any of the 5 sites (Mormon Island Auxiliary Dam, Dike 7, Dike 8, Spur-dike and in-reservoir), and 3) the associated features for the JFP.
