The VLP is a coordinated approach among ACRCD and the Department (of Fish and Game (Department) that provides authorization for take of candidate (threatened or endangered species incidental to routine and ongoing agricultural activities if those activities incorporate specific habitat management practices. The Alameda County VLP becomes affective upon issuance of a take authorization pursuant to Section 2085 of the Calfiornia Fish and Game Code.
