Document Description
The City of Los Angeles Harbor Department has prepared an NOP/IS Checklist for the Port of Los Angeles Master Plan Update (PMPU). The PMPU serves as a long-range plan to establish policies and guidelines for future development within the coastal zone boundary of the Port of Los Angeles (Port). The PMPU addresses all the required sections under CCA Chapter 8, Article 3 (Section 30711[a] and [b]), including the permitted uses, design and location of land use areas, an estimate of the effect of development on environmental resources, and anticipated projects listed as appealable. The PEIR focuses on anticipated appealable/fill projects and land use changes. The PMPU area includes facilities and sites that are identified on the State of CA Hazardous Waste and Substances Site List (also known as the Cortese List, Government Code 65962.5).
