Document Description
This proposed project offers a system that it is capable of meeting the SCAQMD Rule 1110.2 limits as well as the CARB 2007 limits for distributed generation without costly biogas clean-up and without system efficiency penalties due to parasitic power condumption. A partial oxidation gas turbine (POGT) to be built from commercially available components used for turbocharging large stationary engines and a fuel processor built from know-how developed over several decades of experience will be integrated with an internal combustion engine for ultra-low emissions hybrid generation. Specifically, by reforming portion (45%) biogas, into hydrogen-rich gas and then blending it with the remaining non-reformed biogas and supplying the engines with fuel gas mixture containing EOE6 mass present of hydrogen relative to the methane in the original fuel.
