The Placer Land Trust is requestion $300,000 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Proposition 84 Healthy Forests Grant Program for fuel reduction treatment on 90 acres. The project will enhance the Bear River watershed by protecting water quality through improved forest management practices aimed at limiting erosion and sedimentation, reducing wildfire intensity and severity, and creating a healthier ecosystem.
