Document Description
Following a 45-day notice period, the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) intends to make a determination that corrective action, for soil only, has been completed for the 597.14 acres (the Site) of the former Kaiser Steel Mill Facility, which includes all of the property purchased by CCG Ontario, LLC (CCG Ontario) in 2000 (592.1 acres) and the Tar Pits Parcel (5.04 acres) not acquired by CCG Ontario. DTSC determined that the Site is subject to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action requirements because certain units located on the Site are RCRA authroized units.
