Document Description
This research will perform a detailed engineering modeling and analysis of a full scale Triest system employing a 150 ton steam-jet refrigeration system configured to support a typical commercial-scale refrigeration load. The 150 ton integrated system design will be downscaled to 25 ton, and fabricated and outfitted with appropriate controls and sensors. It will be tested as a load to a 10MMBtu/hr boiler at the Altex laboratory facilities to establish/confirm performance characteristics of the refrigeration system and its components. Sub-scale test results will be used to establish scalability and estimate cost performance of the fully integrated TRIEST CCHP system.
